Based in our Austin, TX location, you will work with all levels of functional management to own and manage Emerson’s QMS procedures. You will communicate with customers and be responsible for ensuring compliance with all appropriate regulations for Emerson’s Process Systems and Solutions business.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

•   Own and grow our Quality Management System to meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements
•   Lead our audit program which includes internal, ISO, and Customer audits and identify and share best practices
•   Collaborate cross-functionally to drive CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) resolutions across the business
•   Incorporate newly acquired businesses into our Quality Management System as we continue to grow our product portfolio
•   Be a change agent, proactively implementing actions as part of our continuous improvement process to improve quality and process effectiveness, reduce duplication and waste, mitigate risk.


WHO YOU ARE:

You use knowledge of the organizational culture to achieve objectives. You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You manage the risk that comes with moving forward when the outcome isn’t certain. You focus efforts on continuous improvement; and have an aptitude for identifying and seizing opportunities for synergy and integration.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

•   A bachelor’s degree with a minimum 7 years of related work experience
•   Significant experience leading quality systems in an ISO certified company, including customer audits
•   Proven audit experience, preferably as a Certified Lead Auditor 
•   Well versed in quality problem solving methods e.g. DMAIC, 8D typically associated with quality engineering and CAPA
•   Effective presenter and negotiator working with all levels of the organization. 
•   Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

•   Master’s degree in Quality, Business or Engineering
•   PMP Certified or equivalent
•   Six Sigma Training or Certification or related discipline
•   Experience in the use of statistical process control (SPC) and process capability measurements Cpk
•   Specific experience working with 21CFR Part 11,GAMP5, FDA Guidance for Industries a plus.
