The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a partnership between the University of Michigan College of Engineering and Stephen M. Ross School of Business, working together with a 30-member Industry Advisory Board. The Tauber Institute was developed to meet industry’s need for a new kind of graduate—one who has an exceptional academic background, extensive professional experience, and most importantly, can successfully integrate business and engineering perspectives to lead global operations into the future.

 

48% of 2017 Tauber Institute graduates accepted offers of employment from the sponsoring companies of Tauber team projects. A signature initiative of the Tauber Institute, team projects pair students with top companies for a 14-week multidisciplinary, collaborative project.  Each 2-3 person project team is comprised of University of MIchigan graduate business and engineering students.  Along with executive direction from the sponsoring firm, each team receives support from both a College of Engineering and a Ross School of Business faculty advisor, supervision by a Tauber Institute Co-Director, and mentoring support from Tauber alumni.
