Q: What drew you to the University of Michigan?

Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family, I was always interested in developing a business skill set with the rigor of an engineering background. I had heard of the Tauber Program via highschool seniors who were in Michigan, and the combination of a multidisciplinary education together with practical team projects drew me in.

Q: When you think back on your time with the Tauber Program, what stands out?

Definitely the Integrated Product Development (IPD) class. As a college kid with little understanding of all the thought-processes involved with developing a product, the course was a huge eye-opener. I learned a lot from my teammates and even other teams. It was great preparation for for the team project and I still use a lot of the concepts today.

Q. Describe your current role.

I was formerly a management consultant with ZS Associates before moving to real estate development, primarily residential properties in the Chicago area.

Q: In what ways did your Tauber experience shape the professional that you are now?

It gave me a keen understanding and a lot of respect for operations and supply chain management. I found the knowledge applicable almost everywhere, whether it was data analytics, supply chain financing, or ensuring even the timely sourcing of construction materials.

Q: What advice would you give to current or future Tauber students?

Just enjoy the experience at Tauber and don't get too competitive at team projects. Take the opportunity to connect and learn from your peers. There are many talented people in the program with a variety of backgrounds and work experiences.
