Co-Founder

Poppa's Custard Company

I began working with Cummins as a part of a Tauber project team in the summer of 2008. Our team developed an inventory allocation model for the optimal stock quantities of both raw material and finished goods for B-Series Mid-Range remanufactured engines and won first runner-up honors at Spotlight! 2008 for our work. I joined Cummins full-time as a Global Operations Improvement Leader in August 2009 and over the past 2 years, I have led Lean manufacturing improvement projects at our manufacturing facilities in Memphis TN, San Luis Potosi Mexico, and Cumbernauld Scotland.

I have designed and built lean material delivery systems for remanufacturing operations, led value stream mapping improvement cycles, trained shop operators and plant support staff in lean manufacturing concepts, and advised senior plant leadership on strategic issues concerning the planning and implementation of operations improvement projects in their respective facilities. My project work to date has generated several million dollars in cost savings and productivity improvements.

UPDATE: In 2023, I retired from a fantastic career to chase the entrepreneur's dream with my family from scratch. I'm the Co-Founder & CEO of Poppa's Custard Company, my family's business, where we make the most delicious chilled dessert custards in both traditional dairy and vegan formats.
