Student Mentorship Committee Chair

The Student Mentoring Committee continually develops improved methods of communication between alumni and students to assist students in achieving their career goals upon graduation. Tauber mentors use their experience to help new alumni be successful.  


Ray is currently VP of Global Operations with Shape Technologies Group, based in Kent, WA.  Ray received his MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in 2016.  Prior to attending Ross, Ray served in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer and nuclear engineer, with deployments as cruise missile officer on USS HIGGINS (DDG-76) and propulsion plant watch officer on USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65).  He also served as a training manager and inspector for the US 7th Fleet, based in Japan. 

Ray completed his undergraduate degree in political science and received his commission from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in 2001.  In his downtime, Ray enjoys relaxing with his wife and three dogs.
