Global Supply Chain Director

Tom joined Dow Automotive in 2015 after holding Supply Chain leadership positions in various areas of the Dow Chemical Company including Amines and Chelants, Home and Personal Care, Monomers, and Business Services.  Ammerman started his career with Rohm and Hass Company in 1989 in manufacturing.

As the Global Supply Chain Director, Tom Ammerman is responsible for the Business’s integrated order to cash process including supply and demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and customer service delivering world class supply chain results.

Ammerman is also a member of Dow’s Integrated Supply Chain Leadership Team which is responsible for establishing and implementing Dow’s global integrated supply chain strategy and continuous improvement initiatives to increase integrated supply chain and business effectiveness.   

Tom holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.  Tom is a Dow Engagement Leader for Penn State’s Smeal College of Business Center for Supply Chain Research.  He serves on the Industry Advisory Board of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan. Tom has also been active in the community coordinating and leading youth athletic programs and has served as Chairman of his township’s Land Development Board.
