Stefan has been with Cardinal Health since June, 2010, where he leads both the Medical Segment Direct as well as the Corporate Indirect Sourcing organizations.  In this role, he has leadership responsibility for teams located in Dublin, Ohio; Chicago Illinois; Shanghai, China; and Singapore.  With more than $8 billion in annual spend, the Medical Segment provides medical, surgical and laboratory products to hospitals, surgery centers, diagnostic labs, and physician offices around the world, with distribution centers in the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Stefan held various leadership positions within the Whirlpool Corporation, located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, for almost 20 years.  During his tenure with Whirlpool, Stefan managed multiple sourcing responsibilities while serving as Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing with an annual spend of over $3 billion.  In addition, he also held numerous leadership positions within the Whirlpool Corporation, including General Manager of Whirlpool’s $4 billion global microwave business unit; Director of North America Fabric Care sourcing; as well as leadership positions in Brand marketing and product engineering.

Stefan graduated in 1988 from Syracuse University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. 

He is currently serving on the Industry Advisory Board of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan and the Board of Directors for the Danby Group, a $500 million, family run company with headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
