4/23/2009 --

Congratulations to Bill Lovejoy and Shaun Jackson, professors of the Integrated Product Development (IPD) course, for being selected as one of 5 winners of the U-M's new Teaching Innovation Prize.

Offered for the first time in 2009 by the Office of the Provost, CRLT, and the University Library, the Teaching Innovation Prize (TIP) is designed to recognize faculty who have developed innovative approaches to teaching that incorporate creative pedagogies, new ways to engage students in the learning process, and new approaches to student collaboration.

William Lovejoy, (l) is the Raymond T. Perring Family Professor of Business Administration and Professor of Operations and Management Science.

Shaun Jackson, (r) is a Professor of Art & Design, Architecture, and Operations and Management Science.

A total of 5 prizes are being awarded to faculty members and will be formally presented at the annual, campus-wide technology conference "Enriching Scholarship" on May 4.  For the complete list of TIP winners, please see the University Record article.

On behalf of Professors Lovejoy and Jackson, the Tauber Institute extends our sincere thanks to the Ross Video and Streaming Media Services team, and especially Ellen Switala, for their support in creating a special 3-minute video about the IPD course.  The video exemplifies the cutting-edge resources of the Ross School and was an important element in the nomination materials submitted for the TIP.
