UM Professors spoke at Stanford event on 11/18. STANFORD, Calif. Two Michigan faculty presented their research and participated in a Nov. 18 roundtable conference held at Stanford University. Open to the bay area and Stanford manufacturing communities, the event highlighted new, emerging research in the broadly-defined area of Manufacturing. In addition to Michigan, the six faculty participants included professors from Stanford and MIT. UM Professors Damian Beil and Dawn Tilbury represented TMI at the roundtable. Professor Beil is a faculty member at the Ross School of Business and talked on "Procurement Auctions with Supplier Qualification Checks." Professor Tilbury is a faculty member at the Mechanical Engineering Department and talked on "Reconfigurable Controls for the Real-Time Enterprise." The event was hosted by Stanford's Alliance for Innovative Manufacturing (AIM). More information about AIM is available at http://www.stanford.edu/group/AIM.
