1. Market shares and revenues
reflected a similar ranking as profits, except Sleeke
was further down in 5th place. However, Sleeke had very
low variable costs and great margins, allowing it to

2. 823 people voted on
the web! This is a new record. 276 voted at the physical
trade show. This, too, is higher than average. This was
a great year in terms of community involvement.
3. The web and trade show
market shares were remarkably similar. This is the first
time this has happened. Jumpstart and USBner remained
strong in both.
4. Nobody stocked out in either show. In fact, stocking
decisions were aggressive for most teams, and a total of
$1.2M in inventory was left over after the show.
5. There did not seem to be any obvious preference
clusters. For example, one might expect the laptop
carriers to be somewhat similarly appealing to
customers, so for example customers who picked LapWrap
first might like Sleeke or Nomad or Ergo-Desk second.
But, this did not happen. The only obvious preference
cluster was between Jumpstart and USBner, both small
plug-in devices.
6. Anecdotally, the instructors received numerous
comments on how impressed people were that students
could accomplish so much in one semester, and how
difficult the buying decisions were. This show featured
some very tough competition! Congratulations to
everybody for making it so.
